Curriculum Enrichment
We offer Curriculum Enrichment in many forms at Warmsworth Primary School.
Visits and Visitors
We enhance our children's learning through a wide range of visits and visitors, both locally and nationally.
Additional Music Tuition
We provide additional peripatetic music lessons with specialist music teachers as part of our core offer for all children who wish to take this up from Year 2 to Year 6, free of charge. We believe that music is a powerful form of expression and all children should have the opportunity to explore this. We are currently offering children the opportunity to learn a brass instrument, woodwind instrument or guitars and we have a thriving Warmsworth Band too, made up of these talented musicians.
Horticulture / Care for the environment
Our wonderful learning environment also lends itself to outdoor learning, both to support curriculum subjects and also teach the children about horticultural and care for the environment. Our school quad, poly-tunnel, woodland area and school grounds offer many opportunities and experiences to explore.
Global Education
We are committed to developing our children into valuable citizens of the 21st Century and our Curriculum throughout school means that our children are becoming better informed and more aware of world issues.
Enterprise Education
We teach our children about Enterprise and engage with local and national businesses to raise the aspirations of our children. We link with Primary Futures and host members of industry on Careers Days where the children can ask questions and learn more about a range of careers.
After-School Extra Curricular Clubs
We offer a comprehensive range of after-school Extra Currcular Clubs for our children in Year 1 to Year 6. These include a range of sports clubs led by our sports coach, our orchestra led by a specialist music teacher and a choir run by our fantastic staff!
Pupil Leadership Team
We have a fabtastic Pupil Leadership Team of Eco Leaders, Sports Leaders, Enterprise Leaders, Digital Leaders and Reading Leaders. Our children put themselves forward for these roles and elected by democratic vote and through an interview process. These children are then responsible for representing the pupil voice in their classes and as a collaborative to improve our school and the wider world.
