Year 3 - Science 22.6.22
Date: 22nd Jun 2022 @ 5:09pm
In Year 3, we have been learning about the different types of skeletons that animals may have. We now know that all animals have a skeleton and that there are three types: endoskeletons that are found inside the body; exoskeletons that are on the outside of the body; hydrostatic skeletons that are made of fluid rather than bones and surround the body. We were all so surprised to learn that worms, jellyfish and slugs do actually have a skeleton! Using information texts and videos online, we were able to identify key facts about these skeletons and understand their purposes. For example, we now know that our human skeletons are light to allow us to move easily although the bones are fragile and can break.
