Year 1 outdoor learning

During Forest Friday, Year 1 have been using their observational skills to find signs of Spring. We became detectives looking at buds on twigs to identify the trees that grow in our woodland. We found snowdrops, daffodils and lots of new buds growing. The woodland is also very busy with birds and squirrels.

We also used our ICT skills to take photos of Spring. These have been printed and added to our Science displays in our classrooms so that we can discuss and write about what we found. 

We will keep looking at the plants and trees over the next few weeks to see how Spring is developing in our woodland and school environment.
