Wow, week 3 is over already!

What a week we have had in F2!

The children have settled into their new routines really well this week and have enjoyed our new areas of learning in Maths and Phonics.

We have continued to focus on The Colour Monster in our literacy lessons and the children are beginning to articulate their emotions beautifully and understand how our feelings impact on our choices.

In Maths we have been learning about sets, grouping and sorting objects that match, and different ways of sorting the same objects. The children have loved this and are now master-sorters!

In phonics we have learned the phonemes /i/ /n/ /m/ and /d/ this week and have been taking the first steps in oral blending.

Finally, the children have shared the contents of their 'All About Me' bags with each other. They demonstrated beautiful listening skills and patience as they waited for it to be their turn to share their favourite things. We have loved getting to know the children better so thank you so much for your help with this activity.

No wonder we're all tired!
