Learning and celebrating in F2
Date: 17th May 2024 @ 10:24am
We have had a busy few weeks in F2: new learning, consolidating learning, creating, collaborating and celebrating!
In maths we have been composing and decomposing shapes - creating new images out of 2D shapes and then decomposing a rectangle to create a triangle. The children worked in pairs, improving their collaborating skills and learning to take turns. We also worked in pairs on our trip to the woodland area for Welly Wednesday, the children used mounts to create pieces of art inside the frame, using only natural materials from the ground.
We had an exciting visit from a hot air balloon, and although the balloon didn't fully get off the ground we were inspired to use the parachute in our KS1 hall afterwards, learning about the forces necessary to go up and then come back down.
On Thursday we welcomed parents into our KS2 hall for our enterprise session - The Tiger Who Came to Tea. We hope you enjoyed the performance and maybe even learned something new about tigers when the children shared their tiger facts.
We have just one week left until half term, the weeks are flying!
Thank you as always for your continued support.
