F2 Animal Club Visit
Date: 24th May 2024 @ 9:57am
We had a wonderful time this week when we had a visit from the animal club - the children met a tarantula (kept safely in his box), morio worms, a turtle, two very relaxed bearded dragons, a snake, a guinea pig and a rabbit. A great variety for the children to have the opportunity to handle and compare. The children asked questions about the different foods each animal eats, discussing whether they are herbivores or carnivores. They also asked questions about the habitats that the animals would live in and we linked this to our knowledge of jungle, savannah and wetland habitats that we have been exploring this half term.
The children really enjoyed the opportunity to hold some of the animals and we had some very brave children holding the snake around their necks - we were so impressed with their confidence and care around the animals!
Thank you for your continued support, we hope you have a wonderful half term holiday and we look forward to welcoming the children back into school on Tuesday 4th June.
