Consolidation and Christmas Preparation
Date: 8th Dec 2023 @ 11:24am
The last four weeks have flown by in F2 with a host of consolidating previous learning and introducing new ideas to the children.
We enjoyed wecoming you all into our classrooms for our maths session and hope that you also enjoyed seeing your children engaging with their maths learning and seeing first-hand how we are teaching them. We are grateful for all of the feedback we received - it was both helpful and supportive so thank you!
We moved our maths learning on last week to exploring shapes, building on our knowledge of circles and triangles by introducing shapes with four sides. The children observed the environment around them (both inside and outside), finding shapes everywhere. Each child then created their own piece of art in the style of Wassily Kandinsky's Squares with Concentric Circles and we have a beautiful new display in the art area of indoor provision.
Both classes have enjoyed learning all about the story of The Enormous Turnip, exploring the theme of teamwork and enjoying participating in team tasks to keep the classrooms tidy!
As we prepare for the festivities and a well-earned rest for all, we would like to wish you all and your loved ones a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!
