All about size in F2

This week F2 have been introduced to Funnybones by Janet and Allan Ahlberg and we have linked our learning to this text. 

We have discussed size in our Maths learning and linked this to the Big and Little skeletons in the book, we've also discussed all the different parts of the skeleton, with children putting together our class skeleton puzzle and comparing how tall they are next to the skeleton.

In our Welly Wednesday walk the children hunted for big leaves and little leaves, comparing their own leaves to those of their friends and then sorting them into 'big' and 'little' groups once back in the classroom.

It was wonderful to see the children dressed as rockstars and numbot robots on Tuesday for the school-wide launch of TTRS and Numbots. Everyone should now have their personal login for Numbots and a copy will also be in their home learning books which are coming home for the first time this weekend. Please support your child to complete their home learning tasks as independently as possible.

We hope the children have enjoyed their first weeks in F2, this is always a tough and tiring part of the year for them but they have all done so well.
